You've probably noticed why it's taking me much longer to create a new bear each week and I have no excuse except to say that it's all Facebook's fault! It's all those games and boy am I addicted!! LOL Thank you for playing with me and I am having a ball though I must admit, it's taking over my life and time to a HUGE extend and I really must try hard to be a bit more "balance" from now on.

I've almost forgotten the wonderful buzz I get when I finish a bear so here I like to present to you my latest bear "Yukimi"...she's like a little petal in the snow. Yukimi is now looking for a new home and is available for adoption from here.

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY!

It's jennylovesbenny's Birthday and is 6y.o this month!! It seemed like only yesterday when I made my first bear and as I look back the years, I feel like a mum watching my little children grow and blossom. It's been another wonderful year and many bears have found new homes in far and wide locations. Many exciting places I'll love to be able to get the chance to visit one day.

"Corn" here is my sample bear, created from my first attempt at designing my own bear. I was very pleased with how he turned out and being my first, he's very special to me. He's still by my side, each day, keeping me and other bears in great company. Below is "Joshua", my very first bear to be created from my "Corn" pattern. "Joshua" was adopted by a lovely lady from Lincoln in the UK...hmmm...I wonder how he's doing now.

I often wonder whether I'm passing my bear's new home when I drive through a town where I know my bears have gone to live. Hoping that I might get a glimpse of them sitting by a window watching the world go by...

Taiwan Teddy Bear Association have started a new project ~ "Bear Artist at Home" which introduces Bear Artists around the world and giving you a snippet of their home life. Here is mine! :D

Please meet my new bear "Auber-Jean" a little egg-plant as we call it Down Under. He is created from my anime bear designs "Sleepy". "Auber-Jean" has just been listed on my website and is now available for adoption.

The Witch, her cat and a magic broomstick

Halloween is just around the corner and "Beatrice" is already getting ready to celebrate Halloween. Who's ever heard of a witch with no broomstick and cat?!! Here is a little snippet of my little Beatrice who wants to be a witch. She's not quite complete yet because I still need to find her broomstick and she definitely won't be happy without a cat to ride that broomstick with her. DOG...spelled backwards...GOD

I came across this video on Facebook and would very much like to share this beautiful story with you. Someone once said that dogs are a man's best friend...how right they were!
I hope you enjoy this as much as me. It really touched my heart and I feel very lucky and blessed to have dogs in my life. Like most mothers who talk about their kids all the time, I'm one of those people who talks about my dogs all the time but words just cannot describe how my days have been made brighter because of them.

They always manage to put a smile on my face when I'm down. I never feel lonely with them wanting to be by my side and I'm forever loved by them unconditionally. They may not be God but I'm certain they are precious gifts from God. I hope you have a wonderful day with your furry friends EVERY DAY!!

KEEP those off cuts!

As you know I don't like to throw things out and at home I have a basket full of mohair and alpaca off cuts from all the bear making cuttings. I often use these to create my twinkee bears and key chains. You'll be surprise how little fabric you need and don't forget you can even mix and match mohair to create a multi-colour bear, this gives them so much character!
You can easily turn them into key chains and with Christmas just 8 weeks away, these Twinkee bear key chains makes adorable gifts! :D

we have a visitor!!

I've been a bit preoccupied this week and not much of JLB work got done. We even have a visitor staying with us a few days...Benny is 12 y.o now and he rather likes his naps especially after a morning of chasing Walter around the coffee table and kicking the ball. Yes, no mistake there, Benny understands "kick" and can kick a tennis ball back to you using his feet. Walter is yet to master that one! Jenny bear has been very excited and have attached herself to him like a missing limb, incessantly talking to him, giving him no peace.

It's a beautiful Saturday Spring day today but it also feels like a lazy Sunday afternoon. While waiting for mum to be released from hospital tomorrow, I'm in no mood to sew or to do anything but to laze the day away.

Here is a "Jenny bear and Benny" moment I like to share with you:

Better take Walter and Benny for a nice long walk before they turn into couch potatoes! :D

can't get enough of Polka dots...

You know I LOVE polka dots and can never get enough of them.
I've just listed two of my latest fabrics from my personal stash used to create Bump and Flop's pillowcase dresses. They are now available from my Etsy shop if you wish to purchase it in US$ and my shop in AUD$. The fabric comes in fat 1/4 piece but do let me know if you would like a large piece, I can certainly provide that too :D
